IMO the OP needs to view the entire landscape of their relationship, not just recent events, and decide whether it's even worth it to try. I'd hate to him rush ahead into a divorce, only to find that the affair was meaningless. To his every other week/weekend. Or to regret not seeking counseling to exhaust all efforts before throwing in the towel. In my previous marriage, the whole landscape was poor, tilted in his favor. I made the right decision. I try not to waste my time on regrets. My past makes me who I am today, and I think I'm a good person. They however, enjoy the HR protections for their own particular groups whether it be race, religion, or gender. Hopefully this cease.
